My London based Public Sector client are looking for a Database Engineer with current SC clearance and a strong track record of delivering large data migrations using the SQL toolkit to automate and manually load data.

A current, active SC clearance is essential for this contract. Candidates with lapsed/inactive clearances will be considered.

This role requires extensive experience working with SQL Server based databases and utilising the SQL toolkit. The successful contractor will analyse data structures, transform and manipulate data, and move data sets from legacy systems to new SQL databases. Strong SQL scripting skills are essential in order to improve data extraction and data validation. Experience with Python and Shell scripting for data migration automation is highly desirable.

This contract also demands the ability to write SQL queries, stored procedures and functions that optimize performance and efficiency. Experience working with structured and unstructured data, including XML within SQL tables is essential.

Current SC clearance, which has been active within the last 6 months, is essential for this contract.
