Service Manager – VLE Support
My Higher Education client are looking for an experienced Service Manager to join their team and ensure service delivery of the support and development of their Virtual Learning Environment.
The successful contractor will have previous experience of working in the Higher Education sector and a strong understanding of the Student Journey, HE stakeholders and virtual learning environments.
Basic support of the VLE is provided by a third party, whilst an internal team carry out development and another provide higher level support. As such, strong stakeholder and third party management skills are essential.
The Service Manager will take ownership of the VLE support model, monitoring the performance of support and development whilst maintaining service levels across the internal and third party support partners. The ability to maintain effective internal governance and constructive supplier relationships is key for this contract.
Solid understanding of ITILv3 or ITILv4 and demonstrable experience of their implementation is required, with an ITIL certification being highly advantageous. Experience of Agile environments and a PRINCE2 certification is desirable.
This OUTSIDE IR35 contract is largely remote based, with occasional travel to site when required.
